THE ORTHOPAEDIC CLINIC MÜNCHEN-HARLACHING

is a modern, internationally recognized and certified hospital for the treatment of orthopaedic disorders, however slight or serious. The Spine Centre and the Centre for Paediatric Orthopaedics and Neuroorthopaedics are also housed in the Orthopaedic Clinic München-Harlaching.

The highest standards of treatment for diseases of and injuries to the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine are available here. The preferred operation techniques are microsurgery and minimally invasive procedures that preserve tissue integrity as far as possible.
The clinic’s operating theatres are equipped with state of the art technical devices for the patient’s greatest possible safety. Superintendent Prof. Dr. Mayer has developed numerous operating techniques, instruments and special tools for spine operations and is thus a well-known name in the field.

At the Centre for Paediatric Orthopaedics and Neuroorthopaedics superintendent Dr. Peter Bernius directs treatment of infants, children and young people with musculoskeletal disease or injury. Since sick children need especial care and attention, the operating techniques are as non-invasive as possible so that the small patients recover quickly and rapidly regain full use of their bodies. The doctors at the Centre for Paediatric Orthopaedics work hand in hand with physiotherapists and trainers at the Orthopaedic Clinic.
